About…
« The law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. No man has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him. »
Gospel according to John, Chapter 1, verses 17-18
Welcome to ‘The Logos and the Cross’, where the infinite horizons of the Logos and the mysteries of the Cross converge. Here, we venture into a theological quest that transcends the narrow borders of current Protestantisms, traditional and evangelical. Rooted in the Reformed tradition, we seek to establish a fruitful dialogue between reason and revelation, between the wisdom of the incarnate word and the mystery of the redemptive sacrifice, in order to achieve a theology of the knowledge of God.
The Logos and the Cross aims to embody the creative tension between the light of the Logos and the sacred darkness of the Cross. The Logos, the second person of the Trinity, represents the divine rationality that animates the universe and guides our search for truth. The Cross, a symbol of redemptive love, immerses us in the depths of divine grace. Together, they weave a complex theological fabric where reason rises towards infinity while the Cross reminds us of our human fragility.
Our ambition is to innovate in theology, to transcend the sterile dualities that oppose reason and revelation, tradition and innovation. We are seeking a universal evangelical theology that meets the demands of our time and remains faithful to the timeless wisdom of the reformed faith. We are engaging in a quest where critical thinking unites with mystical experience, where faith takes root in the reality of the world and embraces divine mystery.
The Logos and the Cross boldly and rigorously explores the mysteries of Protestant theology. We want to probe the abysses of Scripture and tradition, scrutinize the enigmas of biblical hermeneutics and the tensions between orthodoxy and liberalism. We must examine contemporary demands that question our faith and nourish our ethical reflection. Through in-depth articles and conceptual reflections, we hope to stimulate your mind and broaden your horizons of understanding.
We invite you to venture into the intermediate spaces, where reason and revelation converge, where the past dialogues with the present, where theology comes to life and is renewed. Dive by the Spirit into the depths of the Logos, let yourself be touched by the grace of God in Jesus Christ, and let us explore in this virtual community the luminous paths and sacred abysses of a universal theology of the Gospel.
Through this theological quest, we aspire to build individual faith and lay the foundations for a new family of reformed churches. Turned towards a millennial tradition, nourished by an unchangeable faith, these churches will commit to being faithful and enlightened witnesses to the revealed truth and redemptive grace.
May your journey on The Logos and the Cross be an experience that awakens your mind, broadens your vision, and nourishes your soul.
